Designing your property can be as simple or as tough as you want it to be. While others buy any items that tickles their fancy, some individuals choose a motif. As you level you will unlock other items—some things will be unobtainable to you for a while, like the Greenhouse or Villa. You also want your farm to be well-made. Keep in mind that if you like to level, you need to be able to regularly plant and harvest your farm. You may find this utterly hard if your field is too packed and disorganized.
Oriental
One of the prettiest and truly serene farms I have ever seen on Farmville was an Asian themed rice paddy and green tea plantation. It featured the Pagoda and Tea House which overlooked the Large Pond. The farmer had selected ducks, swans, and turtles as their farm animals. The paddy and tea fields were arranged in a design that appeared a small like a zen garden’s swirls. I really liked it and have been toying with the thought of opening an account for another farm just to design my own Oriental flee!
Ancient-Time Farming
Utilize ancient-fashioned items and try ancient-time farming! The log cabin, weathered barn, workshop and natural wood fencing are examples of fantastic selections. Skip the exotic animals for this kind of farm, try horses, pigs, cows (avoid peculiar colors!) and chickens. Remember that California farmer can plant lemon trees but an Idaho farmer can’t get away with it. Do not forget to add clean touches like the Outhouse, Woodpile, Axe and Check and Covered Wagon.
Funky Farm
This is not just for the black sheep of the farming family; this is for the neon green sheep with a mohawk as well! With unusual harvests, incongruous extras and pink and green animals, you can express your inner coolness. A real must for this type of farm is the Groovy Barn. You can choose Pink Barn as a substitute. To show that you’re a unique individual and not worried to use it, use colorful hay bales and fences! Allow your creative side to choose what fits on a farm this cool. Don’t worry too much!
Events
Every event will have its own set of restricted time things for you to decorate your field with. Some examples of vital events are the Thanksgiving/Autumn theme, Alien Invasion, Christmas and the Carnival. When you stumble upon whatever thing you like, stock up on it as it may never be obtainable over again!

Haunted Farm (Halloween items are needed)
English Manor House (Manor plus huge ornamental gardens are musts. A hedge maze and geometric shapes, and remember the topiaries!)
