Game to watch out for this summer

With a pretty silent time for game releases recently, I plotting this would be a excellent thought to make sure everyone is in the loop as to what games are being released for the rest of the year.

There have only been a handful of fantastic game releases so far, some of which include X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena but this is all about to pick up and the next few months are certainly something to get excited about as you will see below.

The initially large relief is the next game in the Guitar Hero series, Guitar Hero Metallica which is due for relief in just a few days. Whether you are a metal fan, guitar hero fan or just a Metallica fan, you will want this game because it contains a fantastic setlist whatever you are a fan of.

Another one to watch out for is Terminator Salvation which is released on the same day as Guitar Hero Metallica. This game is based upon the storyline of the upcoming fouth Terminator film. It’s hard to say if this game will be any excellent because it’s based upon a movie and movie games can sometimes be rubbish.

Now, heading into the beginning of June, you can look forward to seeing some of the following:

The Sims 3, although I am not at all a fan of these games, no doubt this one will be massively well loved and you can expect everything you like from the original games, aswell as a whole bundle of new features to learn.

The next game on the list is Prototype, a new type of game really but hopefully it will prove to be successful. It would have been nice to see a demo of this game before it’s released but I guess there’s still some time.

This next game will be hugely well loved with the Batman fans among us, Batman Arkham Asylum. The new Batman Arkham Asylum game looks awesome and hopefully we won’t be let down by quality. There is some slight mix-up though about the relief date because it was scheduled for June but, there’s news that it has been delayed to an unconfirmed date.

Yet another movie based game is Ghostbusters but this is meant to be released on the same day as Batman. Some slight consfusion with this one aswell because there was some newws that Sony had payed for exclusive rights to the game for a period of time so we’ll have to wait and see for the relief date on other consoles.

Into July we will see the relief of the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince game which, just like Terminator Salvation, will be an unknown because as it’s a movie game, plus Harry Potter, the game quality may wobble. Although I’m sure hard core Potter fans won’t reckon twice about buying it.

Now comes the games that are set for later in the year but within those few months there are some real excellent ones. These include Dirt 2. Other games include Max Payne 3 and another addition to the Rock Band array, The Beatles Rock Band which is being released along side a wide range of new instruments. Another addition to the Need for Speed series is also plotted, Need for Speed Shift aswell as Starcraft 2, Bioshock 2, Front line Terrible Company 2 and irrevocably Call of Duty Present Warfare 2 which is most likely going to be the largest hit of the year.

There is definately a huge amount fo watch out for and no doubt there will be even more releases that I have said here on the run up to Christmas.
