At this point Try going to the other areas and grind out some of the low level quests. It doesnt take much time now that you are higher level than most of the mobs in that area. If geared properly, you should be making plenty of gold. It also will help erect your reputation which will become critical later in the game. It is a excellent thought to go to the other areas while you still get experience and run their quests.

Once you reach around level 35 you should be able to start soloing Deadmines. Deadmines is one of my favorite places for farming money. just drop any white or greys and make sure you have the largest bags available. Sometimes I have to drop some of the greens i get, because of room in my bags. Check the auction house before you go to know what to drop and what to keep.

Learning to use the auction house can be one of the most rewarding investments of time in. By watching what is promotion and for how much you can flip items. To start flipping just buy low priced items and resell them for the market value. Usually, I price items double what i payed for them. Remember to consider your auction house fees when looking at your profits.

Professions can also be a fantastic way to make money as you advance in the game. If you are interested in making money stick with the gathering professions. Skinning and mining are very simple to level and the items you get can sell very well. if you are mining check with the auctionhouse to see if smelted or raw metals sell better. This can vary by server, and even changes from time to time. Ususally i find the raw ores sell better, as they are used by blacksmiths who just dont want to spend the time farming for materials, and by jewelcrafters for prospecting. But I have seen some servers where smelted ores generally sold better.

Herbalism can also be very profitable especially with the Inscriptioning introduced in WoTLK.
