How To Use Corporate Concepts To Level Faster As A Shaman

Welcome to my unconventional article about Shaman leveling in WoW with the new add-on. Be ready to open your mind to new thoughts that may change the way you reckon about leveling. I’m going to share my favorite leveling secrets with you – and they have origins in the huge corporate planet.

Before you stop reading – this will not be dull! As the title says, this guide will help you to play your shaman better and level quicker.

The corporate planet principle I want to talk about is batching. Batching is about identifying tasks that are similar and to them all at once. Imagine you would send all your emails in the morning as a replacement for of sending one mail every hour or so.

The huge question is: How will bathing help you to hit the level cap? I’m going to give you my favorite example to save time. As a replacement for of spending a lot if time in in the auction house over again and over again, get all the gear you are going to wear EVER right at level 1.

The ineffective process would be to visit the AH after each level up and search for excellent items. This includes traveling back and forth and requires even more of your precious time. That’s the point in time when batching really shines.

My advice is to place all items on the bank and sort them by the required character level. All you need to do now is to visit the bank once every five levels or so to take all the gear with you. That will save you dozens of trips to the auction house and possible hours of time. Can you see how much quicker you can level your Shaman like this?

Of course the same method works for glyphs, talents and profession materials just as well.

Hell, it can even be used to batch quests that you do. For example, batch all the quests that you do in one area. Oh and by the way – that’s exactly the way those super-well-organized Shaman leveling guides work!

Shaman Leveling – What’s New In Cataclysm?

Welcome to my article about the huge changes that the Planet of Warcraft is going through. My guess is that you are playing right now and you are exploring the whole new planet. And Shaman leveling guides are more vital than ever with the new planet and raised level cap.

You doubtless know that the Cataclysm has changed Azeroth forever. All the NPCs, towns and areas are much uncommon. In fact the change has already taken place. But what does that mean for you and all the other Shamans out there?

Your main – or any level 80 character – can level up 5 new levels. But it’s not like the last time! The talents system is completely new and you will have to get to know it. And it’s completely uncommon from the talent system of the past.

Guides on the internet about Shaman leveling before the Cataclysm are pretty much useless. If you read them you will just waste your time. The way the talents work and the talent trees that are viable for leveling a Shaman are also uncommon. Caster items are much more likely in the earlier levels now. All of the sudden the Essential erect is viable just as the enhancement erect was up until now – you can use both of them.

Many people wonder if the Shaman guide that they have bought will still work in the future. If guides from the past can still be used for quick leveling. I can assure you that they are still viable. I’ve read that most of the publishers have already updated their leveling guides to to work with the Cataclysm.

As soon as the planet events are over and the new planet has been establishes you can use your updated Shaman guide over again. As long as the planet events continue there might be some difficulties. But don’t worry, once the events are all over everything will work fine.

And I bet that there will be many new online talent advisors with groundbreaking new talent specs for every class as well in the near future.

Is This How You Level Up Your WoW Shaman?

Welcome to my shaman leveling article all about the question: Should I go for the Essential or Enhancement spec to level up my WoW Shaman?

I want to answer that question and clarify the reason behind that answer.

The initially part of my answer is: Use the Enhancement talent erect to level instant and simple below level 60. If you can’t level in the Outlands, using an Essential spec is a pure waste of time.

But why and how? The reason is, that the Essential spec is a caster erect. All your abilities will require reasonably some mana to use them. As a result you can only kill off mobs and gather exp if you have mana to spend. To increase your hurt you have to find gear that adds to your spell hurt or crit. rate.

That’s where the troubles start for essential shamans. Below level 60 there’s nearly no caster gear! Of course, the problem is solved once you visit the Outlands and do quests there to get gear.

In the ancient planet but there are only a few items that are green and they only increase your intelligence. If you still want those nice blue items you have to either visit instances or be prepared to spend a huge amount of gold in the auction house.

I recommend you to just stick with the excellent ancient Enhancement talent talent spec below level 60. And once you visit the Outlands every talent erect is viable.

If you are one of the players who want to enhance their leveling speed even more, check out an in-game leveling guide. To make up an example: As a mage you choose a WoW mage leveling guide. Everything is fine unless you confuse leveling and PvP guides.

But, if you don’t only want to level up but also want to fight in the arena, I urge you to check out class-specific PvP guides. Essential Shamans would choose a Essential Shaman PvP guide while arms warriors would choose a pvp warrior guide or an even more specialized warrior arms pvp guide.

Level Shaman

Playing a shaman is very fun. Even though it can be tough at the lower levels you get many tools as you level to make up for this tenfold. Ancestrall Recall gives you an additional hearthstone to get around quickly. You get recreation, which allows you to resurrect on the spot once every hour saving you countless of corpse runs (unless you die way too much!). Another clean ability is the ghost wolf form which increases your passage speed by 30%.

Then once you hit the higher levels you get very powerful abilities that will make you insanely powerful in your solo travels. Blood/Heroism (faction dependant) gives you a 40% speed buff to both melee and casting for 45 seconds. Lastly you’ll be getting 2 totems, respectively planet and fire that allow you to summon powerful elementals.

For some superb guides to improving your skill with your Shaman I suggest you have a look at my Best WoW Guide Page. On that page you will find all you need in regards to guides to Planet of Warcraft from gold to leveling and professions to PvP.

Anyway let’s get into the talent trees. Stay away from restoration as it is very weak in the leveling game. For dungeon crawlers you may wish to go restoration as it helps your healing, but you could easily queue up for instances as DPS and delight in leveling quick solo while dealing hurt in groups. So now we have to choose between enhancement and essential. I’ve found essential doesn’t come into its own till at least level 60. Gear for spellcasters is severely missing in the lower levels which makes specs like essential rather substandard.

This leaves us with the enhancement shaman so let’s waste no time getting into it.

You will find yourself up close and personal with this specialization dealing a mix of physical and nature hurt. I in person prefer this erect:

Click here for the shaman talent erect

One thing to mention is that your melee hurt is pretty poor at the lower levels. As such I recommend you start with spending some points into essential (getting both of the initially line talents) until you hit level 20. Fortunately these levels will glide by after which you can accept to enhancement to get Shamanistic Focus, which allows you to use your shock spells more unreservedly without burning mana.

As you can see in the talent erect, level 20 and up is where the juicy talents in enhancement become available. This already starts in the next talent row as you can pick up flood to deal even more melee hurt. Especially once you get windfury weapon at level 30 you will find this fantastic. The next 2 tiers provide 4 more brilliant talents to increasing your leveling be it by reducing incoming hurt by parries or increasing your own hurt.

But then you hit level 40, and this is where enhancement COMES TOGETHER. You will pick up dual wield at level 40, and irrevocably your initially genteel melee attack in storm strike a level later. This is where you will find your hurt improving by ridiculous amounts and you will really get a feel of how your enhancement shaman is supposed to be played.

Deeper down you will find more fantastic talents. For example, lava lash gives you another attack and improved storm strike keeps your mana up. Then you can pick up shamanistic rage to temporarily reduce hurt taken, while having your melee attacks restore mana.

Then we get onto the final 2 talents of the tree, of which Maelstrom Weapon truly makes the enhancement shaman what it is: A melee caster hybrid. It allows you to cast lightning bolts without losing any auto attack hurt. As you play around with this talent you will notice not only much quicker killing but also a much more interactive playstyle. Lastly you will get your feral spirits. These not only deal significant hurt they also have useful abilities and heal you for the hurt they deal. This talent allows you to solo most group quests. Especially once collective with heroism and you essential totems gained at the higher levels.

As we’ve come to the end of the enhancement tree there’s still plenty to be had from the Essential tree, such as increased spell hurt or Essential Devastation which causes your spell critical to increase your chance to critically hit with physical attacks.

Shamans may not start out as fantastic levelers but later on they are arguably the best. You will have Maelstrom Weapon to keep your hurt non-static and abilities that allow you to deal superb burst hurt to end targets quickly.

If you’re really entranced by this guide in regards to leveling your shaman, as I was when I leveled my shaman, you may want to have a look at my Dugi’s Guide Review. You will learn what to expect from this step-by-step leveling guide and more.

Shaman – Hybrids with Spirit

Shamans are one of the hybrid classes in the Planet of Warcraft. For reasonably a while Shamans as a class were available only to the Horde while Alliance had Paladins in exchange. With the Burning Crusade this fact has changed and with the new introduced race – the Draenei, Shamans became very well loved with the Alliance players.

Similar to Druids, Shamans can choose to become Healers, Caster dpsers or Melee dpsers. Their talent erect will depend on a talent tree you choose – Enhancement, Essential or Restoration. If you prefer a dps caster that can own a hurt meter, the Essential talent erect would be perfect for your Shaman. But, to achieve the best hurt output you should equip gear that is rich in sp (spell power), hit rating, crit rating as well as with haste rating. Click here to watch the video: Shaman Guide

With the talent points in the Enhancement tree, your Shaman will be a fantastic melee hurt dealer. This kind of erect will require a Shaman to wear armor enriched with a lot of Agility. An Enhancement Shaman will possess the ability to call upon two allies – the ghost wolves to fight by his side. This ability is especially vital for a Enhancement Shaman with a PvP erect.

With the Restoration branch a Shaman will become a really excellent healer. He has single target heals and also his chain heal is a very useful spell since it will heal a few targets with the lowest hp. Resto Shaman also has his Planet shield, which he can place on himself or any other friendly target in order to care for them from hurt. Resto Shamans need a lot of spell power and mp5 (Mana per 5 Seconds) on their gear.

Shamans are able to wear cloth armor, leather armor and mail armor. While leveling up to some point they will have to wear leather since the ability to wear mail will not be available to them. At the higher levels it is strongly suggested to wear mail since this kind of armor is a lot stronger then leather or cloth. Similar to Hunter’s armor sets, mail armor sets made for Shamans have a lot of useful stats like intellect, which is vital for a Shaman since he is a mana user. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Review

Many players will tell you that Enhancement erect is fantastic for leveling. An Enhancement Shaman doesn’t need as much mana as an Essential Shaman and therefore he will drink a lot less which of course, will speed up your leveling. Do not forget to place some points in a special ability – the ghost wolf form since it will make possible you to turn into your ghost wolf instantly!.

Another thing which made Shamans very well loved in groups, raids and in PvP are their totems. There are four groups of totems divided into fundamentals – Air totems, Fire totems, Water totems and Planet totems. Depending on the erect a Shaman chooses their totems will give more benefit to the party members. But, as he can only use one totem from a certain element, he will be able to have a whole of 4 totems active at the same time.

Overall the Shaman class is a fantastic versatile class to play because you can easily switch between healing and hurt dealing. With many options to choose from when it comes to Shamans, rest assured you will fall in like with this class and never get bored.
