Mage Leveling Guide

From Planet Of Warcraft Guides

As a Mage you have some fantastic advantages while leveling. Of course, many classes have their pros and cons but a Mage is fantastic to level because he can make his own food and water, teleport to cities from one to another continent and is able to Blink which also reduces run-time. As for the best leveling erect, the opinions are divided. Some would swear with the Frost erect because it is more mana well-organized. I but, would go for a Fire/Arcane erect for the simple reason that you take down the enemies quicker and the Arcane tree will provide you with mana regeneration and more stats.

Lets initially have a look at the full Fire talent tree though.

Mage Leveling Erect: Fire

As a Fire Mage you can start attacking with either a Fireball or a Pyroblast, shoot a 2nd Fireball and then a Fire Blast. If the target isn’t dead yet you just Frost Nova, take a step back and make another Fireball+Fire Blast combo. Blast Wave and Dragon Breath will also become available at a later level and they can do the finishing touches as well.

Now why I didn’t take Improved Scorch is because you don’t use Scorch until you get the Hot Streak talent. Molten Shields, Passionate Payback and Blazing Speed are not de rigueur for leveling purposes. I did choose Impact (I know many Mages skip this one) because it’s nice for leveling. If you manage to use three or four Fire based spells before the mob reaches you, you have a 30-40% chance to stun the mob for two seconds before he even reaches you.

I took a bit of Frost because of the reduced mana cost of both Frost and Fire spells through the talent called Precision.

Another selection, and my favorite, is to go Arcane+Fire which is a nice combination.

Mage Leveling Erect: Fire/Arcane

This erect has a mana preserving advantage because 60% of the regeneration continues while casting. You will also be surprised with the amount of critical hits you will get with this erect which will also refund 30% of the spell’s costs. You will also have 10% more Spirit and 15% more Intellect. Arcane Concentration will allow about 10% of your spells to be cast free of costs.

This erect will not give you AoE spells likes Blast Wave and Dragon Breath but will be mainly focused on Fireballs, Pyroblasts and Fire Blasts. Your Arcane Explosion will be boosted a bit so that is a excellent choice for AoE purposes. Presence of Mind and Arcane Power will give you two extra fantastic abilities that will cause high burst hurt when needed.

You can choose to go full Frost but especially in the initially 30 levels you will be a lot worse of than the builds stated above. Shatter then becomes nice, and later you got Icy Veins, Water Essential, Cold Snap etc. but the hurt output of this erect isn’t as high as compared to the ones above.

Mage – Damage, Crowd Control and Magic

Mages are typical mana users and casters with an ability to deal reasonably a bit of hurt to their opponents. They use uncommon types of spells to deal hurt like Arcane, Fire and Frost, and their well loved spells are Frost/fire Bolts and Arcane missiles.

The Mage class can be chosen by the Gnome, Draenei and Creature races of the Alliance and by the Troll, Undead and Blood Elf races of the Horde. A Mage will always feel very welcome in any team, group or raid. A Mage can cast several buffs but the most vital buff for any party or raid is certainly the Arcane Brilliance buff which increases Intellect . The Intellect buff is not the only reason why Mages are well loved. Click here to watch the video Mage Guide

They can also make consumables for themselves and others which otherwise have to be bought from vendors. These consumables restore both mana and hit points. Another thing mages have is the ability to Polymorph Beasts and Humanoids which is why they are also a need in fights with more than one mob. Even though, today, the fights in WoW have become much simpler (tank ‘n spank), Crowd Control is still nice and useful.

Mages buffs, spells that can make and transform are all nice but they don’t make him the best player in the game and it is that his hurt spells and abilities make him a fantastic hurt dealer. His spells are based on Arcane, Fire and Frost hurt. Spells like Blizzard, Flame Strike, Arcane Explosion, Cone of Cold and other damaging spells do hurt on manifold mobs and can place a Mage on top of the hurt meters. He also possesses AoE spells like Arcane Explosion, Blizzard, Cone of Cold and Flame Strike which cause reasonably nice amount of hurt to manifold enemies and also contribute to the overall amount of hurt Mage does in a raid. Fantastic thing about Arcane is that the tree provides the Mage with reasonably a bit of mana well-organized talents, several devastating spells and more. Before there were hardly any Mages with an Arcane spec and this spec was usually collective with either Frost or Fire, but currently it is a fantastic spec for both PvP and PvE Mages. Today, Arcane is used for in PvP as well as in PvE and it offers some useful talents that have mana efficiency and improved hurt output. When we talk about Mages who are aiming for pure dps, then we are talking about the Fire talent erect. This talent tree will offer attacking hurt abilities and spells to a Mage as well as an increased crit strike rating which all together would give your mage an astonishing hurt output.

Since you can also stun players and summon a Water Essential to fight at your side, the Frost tree is fantastic in PvP and also a fun choice for PvE. The Frost talent erect has many AoE spells in store for you, as well as the Crowd Control spells and even a protective shield!. Since you can also stun players and summon a Water Essential to fight at your side, the Frost tree is fantastic in PvP and also a fun choice for PvE. If you follow the talent erect you will find out that the tree can provide you with burst hurt and yet give you protective shield and slow your targets a lot.

In time, by changing and combining all of the three talent builds you will surely find the perfect erect to suit your character and you will become one of the best hurt dealers in PvP and PvE. Mage Class Guide

In WoW, you may find that you prefer either combat or being a spell caster. If key is your thing then allow me to introduce the Mage in this WoW Mage guide.

As a spell caster Mage are fantastic. Their talents at using fire, frost and the arcane are matchless in Warcraft. The strengths the Mage has with key is missing in physical combat. Mages have to major limitations, they only wear cloth armor, and have as weapons only wands, daggers, swords and staves. But, they do have a ton of spells that can allow the Mage to kill their enemy without getting to close to them. Two fascinating things that Mages can do with their key is make food and drink to restore other players and teleport to distant parts of the planet with the use of portals. Mages can belong to the following races: Creature, Gnome, Undead, Troll, Blood Elves and Draenei. In following part of the WoW Mage guide I’ll tell you about some of their strengths and weaknesses.

Mage Strengths:

One of the major strengths of Mages is that they can use spells to inflict major hurt to single and even manifold targets. But if the battle isn’t going well then the Mage can do 2 things. Firstly, they can hold off enemies with key and secondly they’re masters of escape with their Frost Nova, Blink and Ice Armor spells.

As mentioned before, they are fantastic at launching attacks from long distances and avoid taking hurt themselves. Also as I mentioned they can travel through portals and even transport other players this way.

Mage Weaknesses:

The Mages lack of armor is the source of one major weakness of this class, making it hard for them to survive much hurt. They are not very excellent for melee at all so don’t choose the Mage class if you want to melee. Last but not least, for all their magical strengths they don’t have any real healing ability.

Cool Mage Spells:

As a conclusion to the WoW Mage guide I’ll mention some cool spells. Some of which can make up somewhat for the weaknesses I mentioned earlier.

  • Mirror Image- This will made duplicates of you that can then fight in battle.
  • Invisibility- This one allows you to become invisible for a small distance.
  • Water Essential- Mages are able to summon Water Elementals to help them fight in battle.
  • Ice Check and Ice Barrier- These spells can really be handy since they allow the mage to take some hurt.
