A excellent piece of video game news coming below. Yet another week of gaming charts have been released by GfK Chart Track and they have seen Wii Sports Resort aver the top spot, once over again, only just beating the recently released Activision title, Wolfenstein.

For the past 2 weeks, Ashes Cricket 2009 claimed the all formats top spot, but, Wii Sports Resort has managed to reclaim it’s crown and get back onto the 1st place. This now gives the title 15 weeks as number 1 game on all formats since it’s relief.

Unfortunately, Activision wasn’t able to aver the number 1 spot with their recent relief, Wolfenstein. With 2000 less sales that Wii Sports Resort, it only managed to get number one of Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC charts, not too terrible.

Even with not really claiming the top spot, Activision should still be pleased that 3 of their games, Call of Duty: Planet at War, Prototype, and Wolfenstein are all in the top 10 best sellers.

But, both Activision and Nintendo might have some stiff competition in the upcoming few weeks with the relief of Batman: Arkham Asylum. This new Batman game has already become well loved within the pre-order charts, plus with the demo that was recently released, sites that do video game reviews have been keen to get this game. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the new Batman game jump right to the top spot.
